Christmas Fair

Hello everyone, I've got some seasonal news for you today. Next week I will be at the annual Christmas Fair which is being held, in aid of Woking Hospice, in Sands at Bleak House, Chertsey Road, Woking, between 5pm-9pm.

I'll be inviting everyone to join me in a simple 'Make and Take' - FREE, of course. The fair will have other local, independent stall holders, each bringing something different to the evening. Why not join us? Start the evening off with a seasonal glass of mulled wine FREE if you download the voucher at www.sandsatbleakhouse.co.uk/offers.aspx- just click on the link and go straight to the site.
It should be a fun evening and I'd love you to join us - see you there!

Happy Birthday Pat

Okay, so I make cards. But when it comes to friends and family you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be making their card at best the night before, but more often than not, on the day of the event. What is it with me??? It's nothing to do with not planning, I plan and write lists, then I have lists of lists. Then lists of lists of lists.............you get the picture.
Here's what I made this morning for Pat:

I know she loves this new 'Postage Due' stamp set so thought I'd stamp using re-inkers from our Regals range. It's a while since I used the re-inker technique and I'm pleased with the result. This produces lovely, vibrant colour. Why not try our re-inkers for yourself? They're available individually for £2.75 each in all the colours in our range. A lovely inky little treat to play with.
For those of you not acquainted with this simple, effective technique then here's a little heads up - in January I'll be running a class to show you how.

Current Classes

It's drab and miserable outside but I've got some bright, colourful cards to cheer your day. Below you'll see  some photos of the current classes available - do excuse the background!. At all the classes you'll make 8 cards, 2 each of 4 designs. Please note: some of these cards have been CASE'd  but I don't have a clue where I saw them, so they're not all my original design.

The first is from the lovely Jenny Moors. Making use of one of our latest embossing folders - holiday frame - and the fabulous snow flurry die, along with champagne glimmer paper. All featured in the Autumn/Winter 2012 Catalogue. Simple, yes. But I think that you'll agree -they're classy.

This next photo (not one of my best, try to ignore the cars) showcases our Snowflake Soiree stamp set in a departure from the traditional red/green combination. Here we have shades of very vanilla and soft suede. We will also use the brand new Illuminate stamp pad and yes, just a touch of that glimmer paper again. Can you guess that I like it????

Snowflake Soiree

In this third photo I've used one of my favourite Christmas stamps this year - Heart of Christmas, again from the Autumn Winter Catalogue. Teamed with naturals ivory and cherry cobbler this set makes good use of a single stamp.

'Heart of Christmas'

Finally, for those of you trying to hang onto the remnants of autumn and not think of the impending season, here is a class based on the super 'Wonderfall' stamps and matching die. I'm afraid to say that this set was on my list of 'must-haves' as soon as I saw them.

'Wonderfall'
If you're interested in doing any of these classes then contact me as soon as possible by email: lesleylendon@gmail.com or by phone 07725 217695. I have a few dates available but spaces are limited on a first come/first served basis.

Quick Catch Up

Just a quick mesage to catch up. I've been a little slow updating after my catalogue launch last weekend and it's all down to a nasty bug I've had. But, I'm back!
Thank you to my lovely ladies who came along and grabbed a BOGOF bargain, and welcome to the two new ladies that I met.
I've still got a few BOGOF sets left, if anyone is interested.
As a 'thank you' for supporting me in my recent little promotion I put the names into a hat of everyone who came to my Stamp Camp along with members of my Stampers 10 and those who came to the launch. Sue Jacobs was the lucky lady whose name was drawn and received a set of stamps.
I'd been busy making cards prior to the launch, including some seasonal ones, and hope to post some pictures this coming week.

My Shooting Stars

Or, I should say, 'shots of my stars' because today I've finally got a few photo's of the ornaments and stars that I made for my catalogue launch last Sunday. It's taken a while to get them photographed and on here because I felt so poorly. Seems it all boils down to laryngitis - a simple word for feeling sooo ill!
The first picture is of all of them together.

Here is my version of the ornament that appears on the front cover of the Autumn/Winter catalogue, not in traditional red and green but lovely Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake. Both these colours are more suited to my decor.

View from the front
...and from the back

This is my take of the ornament shown just inside the same seasonal catalogue:

The final 3 stars were a 5 point star, a 6 point star (accidentally created by folding the 6 point one too many times! happy accident!) and a folded star similar to a star book.

Thank you to my lovely ladies, for helping out and learning to lip read so quickly!
