Stampin' Creative Blog Hop

Hi there! It's Blog Hop time again.
At the time of posting this I'm not quite sure whose blog you will have hopped from....or will be hopping to, but I'll be sure to post a link at the bottom of my projects!
Our theme this month is 'Case The Catalogue'.
My first projects are CASED from page 98 of the annual catalogue and feature the Guy Greetings stamp set. I've only recently been lucky enough to try out this set and can't believe how many useful stamps there are in it!
Here is the original photo from the catalogue:

My picture appears to be a 'straight' copy but has a couple of subtle (or maybe not so subtle to those of you with eagle eyes!) changes. My wish list is, well, lets just say it's rather large (!) so I don't have the Colour Me Irresistible DSP yet, time to improvise!
The embossed card is Hello Honey which has been embossed with the triangles folder which I inked with versamark before running through the Bigshot, then heat embossed with clear powder. I love the effect - looks like toasted waffles with syrup on!
The matching gift box from the same page is wrapped with our new In Colour Striped Cotton Ribbon in Lost Lagoon. However, I don't have any of that in stock yet...thinking cap on - a piece of retired Cotton Ribbon with stripes drawn along the edge with my Mint Macaron marker pen...realizing all too late that I'd used the 'wrong' colour pen! I also 'glazed' the car windscreen and mirrors with Crystal Effects. Here is the original, followed by mine....

My other project is from page 22 - Choose Happiness stamp set.
I liked the little box but have turned it into a card.
I hope you've enjoyed my projects today. Thank you for stopping by.
To hop to the next blog, which is Louise's, just click on her name.
If, like me, you sometimes feel the need not to conform, and wish to go anticlockwise on your journey (or simply missed something!) then you can get to Mikaela's blog by clicking on her name.
Whichever direction you choose, you're in for a crafty treat, so hop on and enjoy the ride!

    1. Thanks Lou, have to admit, didn't even realise it was supposed to be DSP until I'd already prepped the background! Didn't have it anyway, so just as well. I started using the equivalent of Crystal effects many years ago - it's great for mirrors, glass, sunglasses....the list goes on!xx

  6. Oh you clever, clever lady. Masculine cards are often found to be difficult, but you've nailed some corkers here. I too love the waffle effect, very clever! X

  7. LOVE Waffles - now I feel hungry Lesley! I really like how you've taken the box idea & turned it into a card - silly me, I thought it was DSP - didn't realise it was stamped - how effective! Cool makes Lesley!

  8. LOL! Well Pip, that's the sort of thing I would think too. I mean, fancy having to draw lines onto ribbon and not realising it was supposed to be DSP! Doh! Got there in the end though! I can promise you it was stamped - the ink is everywhere! Thank you for your kind comments.xx
