Make Art - Finally Finished!

About a month ago I mentioned having attended a great crafty day with friends in London which was run by Wendy Vecchi - Make Art In England.
We took kraft boxes and tags and transformed them.
Above is my finished box, also the top of it, and below are all the boxes grouped together on the day - no two were alike.
Wendy surveys our projects....I hope she approves! LOL!
The tags started out just plain and ended up like these, although they were all varied due to individual taste.
The rose on this tag is a stamp and matching stencil by Wendy. We were lucky to each be given the set as a gift!
Just look at that mini ruler!
Loving the art parts and rub ons we used too.
After all that, I certainly needed a cuppa...or two! A tiring but super fun day!

Big Birthday

So, a friend has a big (BIG) birthday, what do you do? You make a card. But in this house nobody seems to get their card on time unless it's by the skin of my teeth!
In typical, true to form fashion, this friends card was late. VERY late.
The base card is Watermelon Wonder, the next layer is Tip Top taupe, the silver is also Stampin' Up!
The cake stand was cut on the silhouette. Cupcakes are from the Cherry on the Top DSP stack.

Birthday Girl

A friend of mine had her birthday in July. She's only just been given her card - late as usual! At least I can now post the pictures!
Here's the little envelope/pouch I made..

The paper is from a mat stack which has just retired - so sorry to see this one go!

This is the brown kraft bag I inked with our stencil, I didn't have suitable wrapping paper.

I used Gorgeous Grunge to stamp the tissue paper and luch blackberry bliss ribbon, another item sadly retired!

This is the card when closed. the carstock, lace, ribbon, inks, washi tape are all Stampin' Up! The honeycomb die was a gift from my Dad for my birthday. The texture paste was in my stash. The smooch spritzer is retired.
Here is the card when opened.....

A triptych style card. The dies were part of my birthday gift.
I wasn't quite sure what the recipient would make of it but it seemed to fit the bill, so that's a relief!
I never seem to get the things made on time - do you?

Cake, Cuppa, Card

I recently invited some of my super customers to pop in, have a cuppa and a slice of cake then we made a card.
I can only fit 4 people in my little craft room - I'd probably fit more if it wasn't full of stuff!
On the first day we make the same card that I had made as one of my blog hop projects this month -

The second group made this card, which I CASED from Kirsteen Gill (CreatinwithKirsteen)

It was nice to be able to catch up with the ladies. I'll be arranging another session soon for those who couldn't make it last week.
Thank you for stopping by today - it's good to have your company!

Last Of The promised Swaps!

Good morning! Today I've got the last of our Team Training swaps. I bet you thought I'd never get round to it! There seems to be so much going on! I appear to have knocked the names from the cards so will have to pop back later to add them.

Helen Winstone

Pauline Barnfather

Lesley Gillett

Kim Fee

Now if that little lot doesn't fill you with the oomph to go craft then I don't know what will!
It always amazes me that, even when I have the same set or dies as another person, they come up with things I'd never have thought of!
Don't forget to let me see what YOU create with these stamps and dies - I look forward to hearing from you!

Make Art in England with Wendy Vecchi

Well, it was a busy weekend - a blog hop, Leckford and, on the Sunday a fabulous day out in London spent crafting.

Sunday was me time, downtime. A day to dabble. Doesn't happen often.
I spent the day with Cathryn, Nikki and Brenda, along with a whole group of friends and people they know at a workshop run by the lovely Wendy Vecchi which was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Portman Square.
We'd booked this months ago and we'd all been looking forward to it. But when it came to the morning and I had to be on a train into London at 7.40am on a Sunday morning I really did begin to wonder if I had a screw loose. I don't 'do' mornings. Maybe I wasn't as mad as marbles but the bag had definitely split!
We were all very warmly welcomed and, how nice, I was tapped on the shoulder by a customer of mine who I hadn't been in touch with for a little while!
Lots of the lovely ladies have blogged about the day and, I probably can't do the event as much justice as they have so I'll skip along a bit.
Our kit included a super kraft box and bags of goodies to use. I don't have a photo as I was excited to get crafting  (also trying to wake up!).
Here's Wendy showing us how to start work on our boxes.

After working on our little boxes we put them all onto a table - everyone's was so different.

We then set to to make the tags for the inside. Also, making time for a yummy lunch (forgot, we had fruit and croissants mid morning too!)....crafters do get hungry!
Aside from all our goodies, Wendy also gave each of us one of her very own sets of matching stamp and stencil. The image is of a rose as that is the English flower - how fitting, and how very kind of her!
To top it all off we were also given a one off discount voucher!
Below is a photo of the four of us with our completed projects.

As you can see, they all look different.
What a day! We all had a brilliant time and it was over so soon!
Thank you Wendy!
I need to take some photos of my projects up close, then I'll post them here for you to see.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've enjoyed your visit!

Stampin' Up! at Leckford

The grounds are lovely
On 1st August, myself along with Cathryn, Nikki, Cary and Andrea were on a stand at Leckford Estate which is owned by Waitrose/John Lewis. This is our second visit to Leckford Estate, where we met a new group of people.
Over 30 stands were there with a wide variety of handmade goods for sale.
I thought you might like to see some photos of a few of the people who enjoyed our Make and Takes.

It was enjoyable day and at least I didn't get lost on the way home this time because I was following Nikki! There will be another day at Leckford in October (17th) which Cary and Andrea will attend. Pop along and give them your support if you're in the area!

Lots Going On......

Well, hello everyone, what a busy few weeks it seems to have been.
I've still some more swaps to share with you, there have been more weekly deals, I've had a sneak peek at the Autumn/Winter seasonal catalogue and been on the stand at Leckford. All in all, I don't quite know where to start!
I realise that not everyone views social media so maybe I should kick off with a huge 'Thank You!'.
After posting last weeks blog hop projects I shared them on my facebook business page and other pages that I've joined. True, I loved the items I made, especially the 'aquarium' but I didn't expect the response I've had. Such lovely comments from so many people that I'm amazed. In fact the number of comments ran into hundreds overall! So, if you were one of those people thank you, thank you!
I'll give you a quick glimpse of this weeks deals now - don't forget, they're all available to buy online. Shop button to the right of this post.
If you've been browsing the internet recently you may have seen this...
The pages in here are under wraps - it's frustrating that I can't show you but, OH! are you in for a treat!!!
There are stamps, dies, punches, embellishments, ribbon................ and they're all worth seeing!
The catalogue is released 1st September and if you'd like a paper copy in your hands then contact me. I'll be only to happy to send you your own precious copy!
Okay, so now we're onto those swaps. I've posted some on my facebook page but I think I'll post as many as I can here, then slide them over to facebook so that my other viewers can appreciate them too!

I'm sorry  that I can't remember who gave to me the last swap - as soon as I find out I'll amend this post, but it was just too smart looking not to show you!
I do have more swaps...still! But I don't want to overload today's post. Do pop back for more inspiration from some very clever ladies!
