US Ladies

In November I was lucky enough to get to craft with some ladies in the US. I thought you might like to see the photos of them and their projects.
This is Sherrill, our lovely hostess. In the photo she is demonstrating part of another lady's project.
We made a super gift card and an apt nativity pop up card....

ChrisAnn showed us how to decorate a candy box using a punch
Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of ChrisAnn to share with you. She brought another lady with her - Stefanie. Stefanie made this CAS swap for us all

Here she is, holding her swap -

The last project was made by Bea. She not only taught us how to make it but also made home made cookies and put them into a cellophane bag for us to pop into the completed project. They were delicious!
Here is the project - Santa Pants
And here is Bea holding it -
The ladies were lovely company and such fun!
Thank you Sherrill for hosting this so that I could attend. xx

Stampin' Creative Blog Hop Sneak Peek

Hello, I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas day with family, friends, loved ones.
Whether you've hopped here from Emma's blog (and probably been blown away by her creativity!) or just stopped by - welcome!
Thank you for joining us in this months Stampin' Creative Blog hop which features a sneak peek from the upcoming Spring/Summer 2016 catalogue.
There are so many new goodies to choose from and my first instinct was to opt for my favourite suite in the whole catalogue which is called Going Places. However, I've decided to step outside my comfort zone and go floral. The stamps, DSP and dies I've used remind me of the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore.

This is a picture of the place that inspired my card (courtesy of "Cloud Forest, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore - 20120617-05" by Allie Caulfield. - Flickr: 2012-06-17 06-30 Singapore 408 Gardens by the Bay.. Licensed under CC BY 2.0 via Commons. )- the cloud forest. In a man made temperature controlled zone there is a 115 foot waterfall surrounded by climbing plants and ferns.
So, here is my card, a tipi card....

I love tipi cards, they're such fun to make. If you'd like to sneak peek at the supplies I used, they are listed further down. At the foot is a list of blogs participating, just in case you're lost!
The next blog in this hop is Louise's, where you're sure to sneak peek something special, to hop to Louise just click here

Pretty Packages

Hi there!
In my last post I shared my messy desk and some of the packaging I'd been creating. I've two more similar projects today and these are my favourites. In fact, it was very hard to give these away.
I made a Treat Bag using our dies, then die cut a star in the centre and embossed the bag with the Softly Falling embossing folder. There's acetate (window sheet) behind the aperture.
Want to see inside???
Inside I stamped trees in green then stamped stars in versamark before heat embossing followed by inking with 3 different blue inks to create a resist effect. A hole was punched to secure the ornament.
I just love this next project. I recently saw some fab creations by Billie Moan (ramblingrosestudio). She used our sleigh ride thinlets to create a seasonal picture in a small frame which is a Christmas tree ornament. When I saw it I just fell in love with the project but had to wait until our trip last month to see if I could lay my hands on those frames!
In between times, Billie has made many more in different designs but her original still holds my heart. So, having managed to buy some of the frames, I had to recreate her masterpiece! Also a pretty box to hold it.

A box made using the pillow box die - really can't believe that this is retiring - I've cut an aperture using one of the dies that comes in the set, have embossed the box with the softly falling embossing folder then adhered window sheet behind the aperture. You can just see the ornament inside.
I hope you love this as much as I do!

Gift Giving

As you can probably tell from my last post, I love the way Stampin' Up! makes wrapping gifts so easy. Today I've sharing a simple belly band style wrap with you. It may be simple but is still a pretty package. This contains 2 stamps sets and is a belated birthday gift.
Today, especially as it's the festive season, why not wrap something nice to give away!

What a Mess!..But Fab Pacakaging!

Last week I was preparing some bits and bobs for today's Stampin' Stars Christmas party. I posted a photo on my facebook page showing the state of my desk and received one or two comment from crafters who couldn't possibly have worked under those conditions! This made me laugh as I was using everything that was on the table so nothing could be put away.

As you can see, it was just a tad messy! However, there was an empty square foot, so still PLENTY of room to craft in!!!
Is your desk as messy as mine? I say desk - it's actually a 6ft table!
I'll show you just what I was doing. I was packaging small gifts.
Here are the mugs which had a sachet of Lindt hot chocolate and a chocolate spoon in them.
Some more packages...

Little close up's -

Inside the package above is handmade Christmas soap.
Below, LOVE these little bags (sketched dots tag a bag gift bags), all dressed up with vellum and ribbon.

Each contained a lovely silver star box with ribbon to hang it from the tree. The contents of the star box is a mini pot of Steam Cream.
Well, I have some more to share, so do pop back for the next post!
