Last 3 For June

#imbringingbirthdaysback - you've probably seen this hashtag bandied around on social media. I've still a list of birthdays to provide cards for as part of this campaign, some you have seen, and want to share three more from June which you haven't already seen.
The first is for Sam who is celebrating her birthday today - have a very happy day Sam!
I've used a die cut piece of card (from the Detailed Floral Thinlets die) as a stencil and sponged over with Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral to give an ombre effect. I've then heat embossed the image with clear powder. This can be seen more clearly on the photo below -
The circular die cut is cut with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets and has been heat embossed with gold powder. The sentiment is from Suite Sayings.
My next card went winging it's way to the USA for Faith's birthday.
Using the same die set, sponging again but this time the whole background in Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo, no clear embossing.
The band across the middle has been stamped with the same colours as before plus Emerald Envy, using the marker pens to get the colours where I want them. The stamp set - Floral Phrases - coordinates with the dies perfectly and, when purchased as a bundle, save you 10% - a winner all round!
Brightened with a little copper embossing, sequins, ruched ribbon and a few splatters from Wink of Stella in gold.
My final card for June is to a long-standing dear friend, Therese. Again, using the same, new dies.
I cut a long piece of card, scored at each end then die cut the end pieces. Edged with ruched ribbon. The card inside is stamped with the matching stamp.
Shown above with coordinating envelope, always nice to have something pretty drop through the letterbox, don't you think!
I hope you've been inspired to go and create a card yourself.
Thank you for stopping by, I'll be back soon with another post.

One of my Ladies, Maria, has recently attained the first part of the 'Quick Start' program, flying through her first 3 months as a demonstrator and on her way to a new title.
I wanted to send a little 'Woohoo!' to her. For her card I used the new Perfectly Wrapped stamp set in one of the latest In Colours, Sweet Sugarplum.

I also made a coordinating wallet. I used the same stamp set along with a stamp from Better Than Email fro the sentiment.

Inside I placed a pack of Iced Rhinestones as a little treat. I nipped round to her house and popped it through the letterbox. Later that day I received a lovely email from Maria, thanking me and saying what a nice surprise it was. It seems that even her husband noticed it was handmade (is that because it looked handmade or because it looked like a Blue Peter project? LOL!). She said that she noticed what a difference it made to receive a handmade item and the joy it gave.
So pleased she liked it!

Just For Fun - May

Way back, around this time last year, we made a set of 5 note cards and a bag during training. My ladies had spotted the project and requested that we make them during our Just For Fun monthly classes. As they were in the Bohemian DSP I needed to run the class before the paper retired.
Here is the bag which was made on the gift bag punch board.
The sentiments on some of the note cards needed to be changed as I didn't have the same stamp set that we'd used at training. These are the final cards we made.
Two of the stamp sets used are new - Pop of Paradise and Confetti Celebration.
I think  they make quite an attractive set to give....or just keep them for yourself!

June Birthdays - #imbringingbirthdaysback

Today I've 2 cards to share with you, part of my role in #imbringingbirthdaysback
Both are using either new stamps or dies. The first is the flower die from Swirly Scribbles thinlets which is 3D because I've used the negative image flat on the card and the positive image raised on top. You can't see from the photo that I've added a Wink of Stella too. This card went winging it's way to the USA. Hope she liked it!
If you don't already know, pineapples and flamingo's are bang on trend this season....I've probably already told you that!
The pineapple is a new large stamp which, funnily enough, coordinates brilliantly with the small pineapple from the Pop of Paradise set...which also has a flamingo!!! I've used the small one in the background. Stamped the large one using marker pens. This is then cut out and stuck to the background. The leaves have been stamped 3 more times and decoupaged on top to give a 3D image. They've also had a brush with Wink of Stella. The base card is Flirty Flamingo (that bird crept in again!), stamp colours are Emerald Envy and Peekaboo Peach. The greeting is from Thoughtful Banners and has been embossed in gold.
Both these cards went out to people who added their names to my #imbringingbackbirthdays list. I offered to send out birthday cards to anyone who added their name to the list.
I do hope they liked them!

Recent Birthdays - #imbringingbirthdaysback

Sometimes I forget that some of my viewers only see my cards on either my blog or facebook. I occasionally post cards to one area such as on facebook and, if I don't post to my blog too then they don't get seen.
So, remedying that by sharing, over 2 or 3 posts, the recent cards that have been on social media which you may have missed! Today I've 3 cards to share.
The first card was made for one of my team, a sweet lady called Maureen.
This card in a box is made for a friend, Bernie, I've know her since I was 11 years old. We first met at secondary school. Sorry, the photo is a little fuzzy!
A thank you card (CASED from Zoe Tant) for a friend - Fiona - who lives locally. She sent me a super birthday card last month and a great gift, which you can see below the card.

Very apt, eh!
Hope you enjoyed seeing today's cards.
Pop back for the next post to see more!

Stampin' Stars & Twinklets Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin' Stars and Twinklets Blog Hop. Today we're celebrating the arrival of our new annual catalogue - exciting stuff!
You may have arrived here having hopped around Katie's blog and viewing her crafty creations, or simply stopped by. Either way, it's good to have you visit!

My first card showcases one of our new In Colours, Peekaboo Peach. Now, in all honesty, I took one look at his colour and my heart sank... like a stone! Then I saw some super cards where the peach had been teamed with navy and I decided to give it a chance - even bought the matching ribbon!
A Z-Fold card, rather than using DSP mounted on the cardstock, I created the background using a stamp from Playful Backgrounds and peach ink on vanilla card. The cute little creatures are from one of our new hostess stamp sets, Love You Lots. Finished off with our lush new ruched ribbon. Not the usual type of stamp I go for but I really like it! Good thing really since I'd made it for a friend's birthday, though not sure if it's her sort of thing or not.

My next card is from another new Hostess set, Pun Intended. I'm really quite fond of this card so hope you like it too! Despite the dreadful photo.
I used the sun stamp from a carry over set, Kinda Eclectic, then added the light bulb stamp from Pun Intended. I also stamped the light bulb onto window sheet and stuck that on top to give the impression of glass, shame that you can't see that on the photo as, when any light shines on it the image really looks like a bulb. I die cut the stamped images in a circle, made a stand for my 'globe' using circle dies and an old punch. This was all mounted onto shimmer card stock that had been splattered with gold wink of stella, then attached to a tip top taupe base card. The sentiment was edged in copper embossing powder.
As I said, I really do like this card, it's just a tad different.

My third project is another card from the same Pun Intended stamp set.
The base card has been folded and cut using oval dies. I've had to use a retired die set as the new catalogue ones weren't available on pre order. I scored lines across to give the effect of a beehive and also cut a part oval entrance. I cut the same size piece in black which is stuck in the aperture onto the inside of the card. This gave me a little 'doorway'. The bees are stamped, coloured and hand cut, along with the sentiment. There wings are also give a brush with wink of stella.
My last card is part of a little set really. I made it for another friends birthday. Here I've used the Pop of Paradise stamp set. I spotted this set when I first got my hands on the catalogue, my heart fluttered and it became no.1 on my want need list.  Here is the card I made...
LOVING this stamp set! The new Flirty Flamingo In Colour is super with black and white alongside the new copper embossing powder. The pink certainly POP's! Flamingo's and pineapples are so on trend this season.
At our recent Onstage event we saw our CEO using a homemade paste to stamp cupcake frosting. I used the same recipe to stamp the flamingo, which gives it a little texture, then hand cut it out.
To go with the card I stamped a little muslin bag (got a horrid feeling these are no longer in the catalogue - glum face!!, but I'm sharing as my card is the main project here and this is just a little accessory) and made a matching tag. Spot the luscious new flirty flamingo ruched ribbon too!
Inside the bag I popped a little gift of flamingo lip balm.
I do hope you've enjoyed your visit today and leave with some inspiration and full of excitement for our new catalogue.
