#imbringingbirthdaysback

Pulled the birthday list out again. Pretty sure I'm missing some!
I'm sharing the three that I've sent this past week. The first two came about after playing with our products with nothing particular in mind.
I'd taken delivery of our new embossing paste and, having made the cards for our Just For Fun classes this month using masks, I coloured a little paste with lemon lime reinker, just a small drop so it's very light in colour. The mask is square and is larger than the card front. Whilst wet, I sprinkled dazzling Diamonds over the paste so that it would twinkle. Once the paste had dried I snipped around the edges, This left me with a piece of decorated cardstock to mount on the front of a greetings card. As you will know from recent posts, I've several 'Happy Birthday' die cuts ready cut out in various colours. I laid them on top of each other but the base card looked very flat and drab. I stamped this card in Versamark with the new Marbled background stamp, added clear embossing powder and heated to melt. The whole card began to look more appealing. Next I added a slim strip of silver glimmer card and a few silver sequins. To finish, and to give the sentiment an enamelled look, I traced over it with fine tip glue and left it to set.
It's difficult to see the clear embossing on that photo but the following picture will give you a better idea. Certainly a little 'blingy'!
My second card was also the result of playing with product. I'd ordered the new Carols for Christmas bundle. Among the set of coordinating dies (Card Front Builder Thinlets) are some specifically for corners. I lined them up to meet each other when I ran the cardstock through the Bigshot. This gave me a square piece with floral cutouts. I attached this to a square of pear pizzazz card. I ran the dies through again with white card, the flowers that were cut I then placed in the spaces on mini dimensionals. A tiny dot of glitter glue from my stash on each one. Using the daisy punch I punched 2 daisies, one in vellum and one in glossy card, These were attached with a dimensional to the centre of the square. The sparkly daisy centre was made with glue and tiny crystal pieces left from a Christmas kit. This whole piece was mounted onto white card which had been embossed with the new Ruffled deep embossing folder. The base card is pear pizzazz.
My third card was made with a specific birthday in mind. I liked it so much that I had intended to use the design for a class too.
The stamp set is another new one - Bike Ride. The pieces all die cut to match with the Build a Bike Framelits. I love the sentiment on this, so calming. I also finished the bike seat, pedals and apples in the basket with fine tip glue to give them a shine.
This picture gives you a little more glimpse of the shine.
Three very different cards, I think you'll agree. What do you think? Do you have a favourite?
I did when I was working on them but, now finished I may just have changed my mind!
Have crafty weekend,
Lesley x
